Glow Baby Glow

Watching beauty guru tutorials on youtube has taught me a lot about makeup. It's shown me how to do a decent winged eyeliner, convinced me to start using a beauty blender, and introduced me to the world of highlighters. I'm particularly grateful to my QUEEN nikkietutorials for all of her blinding glowiness. Without her I don't think I would've ever purchased a highlighter. For a while I had no clue what I was doing with it and just threw it on and hoped for the best but now I think I've finally got it. Ish. My favourite parts of my makeup collection are liquid lipsticks and highlighters so I've done a little haul of my fave highlighters for ya. Some which are for crazy blinding highlight, subtle lowkey highlight, affordable and higher end.

Mac Mineralise Skin Finish in "Soft&Gentle"
This is one of those "blogger made me" purchases. For years I've seen bloggers and youtubers rave about this highlight so of course I caved a had to get it. It's the perfect highlight for my olive skin just because it's got a nice golden undertone. It quickly became one of my most used and I use it most days at the moment. It's one of those pretty highlights that you can get away with wearing everyday for a nice glow but you can also build it up to a really shimmery highlight too. It's the best of both worlds (defo singing hannah montana after typing that). This is the more expensive of this highlight selection, the most expensive in fact, and is £25.50.

Makeup Revolution Highlighter Duo
I literally can't find this anywhere on the internet so I assume it was a limited edition in a christmas set or something? Anyway, I thought it was worth a mention in case it's not. I absolutely love these two colours. One is great for fair skin/subtle highlight and the other would work if you're tanned and want a more golden highlight. They have such a good colour payoff even though they are the less intense highlights on this list. I don't think you can buy them anymore but the other makeup revolution highlighters are insane too so defo check them out. They're really affordable too.

MUA Undress Your Skin in "Pink Shimmer"
This was actually the first ever highlight I ever tried after my sister gave it to me. Although it's a fave, I do have some god awful memories revolving this highlight. When I didn't have a clue what I was doing and just threw it on anywhere and everywhere. My cheeks looked like two neon pink bulbs. Just goes to show how good the pigment is I guess. AND IT'S £3!! HOW?! You really don't have to spend ridiculous amounts of money for a decent highlight.

Lottie London Shimmer Squad Highlight Quad
Another one I bought purely because of the hype online. I wanted to see whether it was really as good as people said it was and oh boy it didn't disappoint. The pigment is just insane, every single shade is equally as pigmented. I do like that they have a highlight for every "highlight mood" if you get me. There's a darker bronze one, subtle natural one, more golden shimmery one and a crazy glowy one too. The white based one "troublemaker" is an absolute blinding highlight though. I wish I was brave enough to wear it more often because it's absolutely beautiful. I think the price shocked most people; only a tenner for 4 highlighters. Amazing right?

I Heart Makeup Baked Highlight in "Goddess of Love"
And last but certainly not least, we have my absolute go-to highlight that never fails me. It's made by TAM Beauty which make makeup revolution so I'm not surprised it's so fucking good. It's such a pretty highlight with the perfect amount of pigment. Again, a buildable one that can be used as part of a subtle makeup look or more extreme going out look. I really love the consistency/formula too. It's creamier than your average but still doesn't slide around your face and not sit well. 10/10 love love love.
